Jeremy Horst - 1 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, K
Phillippe Aumont - 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, K, WP
Justin De Fratus - 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R
Tyson Gillies - 0 for 4, 2 K

Maikel Franco - 0 for 4

Koyie Hill - 1 for 4, HR, 2 RBI
Leandro Castro - 1 for 4, HR, 3 RBI
Tyler Henson - 2 for 3, R, 2B, K, SB
Greg Smith pitched as well as he could and earned a win. It wasn't a clean inning for either, but two solid outings from Aumont and De Fratus. The two hitting prospects on the team, Franco and Gillies (to a much lesser degree on the latter), struggled again. Lehigh prevailed behind a 2 run homer from Koyie Hill and a 3 run jack from Leandro Castro, both their firsts of the season. Lehigh plays this morning at 10:35 and send Barry Enright to face the lowly Norfolk Tides.
Richmond 11, Reading 5
Perci Garner - 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, BB, K
Tyler Knigge - 3 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, K
Jay Johnson - 0.0 IP, 2 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 2 BB
Austin Wright - 1 IP, 1 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 3 K
Cesar Hernandez - 0 for 4, CS (throwing error)
Cam Perkins - 0 for 3, K, HBP
Kelly Dugan - 1 for 2, 2 R, 2 BB
Aaron Altherr - 1 for 3, 2 R, 2B, BB
Tommy Joseph - 2 for 4, HR, 3 RBI
Edgar Duran - 1 for 4, 2 RBI, K
Zach Collier - 0 for 2, 2 K
Don't let the score deceive you. Reading actually held a 4-3 advantage going into the top of the 8th, but that is where things got weird. Garner only pitched 2 innings because of a long rain delay and that was probably the worst thing that could happen for the Fightin's. Jay Johnson, Nefi Ogando and Austin Wright would combine for 2 IP, 5 H, 8 R, 7 ER, 5 BB, 4 K in the 8th and 9th inning. Cesar Hernandez with another throwing error from 3rd base. Tommy Joseph with his 2nd homer in as many games. Kelly Dugan showing off his plate discipline with his 3rd walk since returning yesterday. Despite not getting a hit, Perkins finds a way to get on base. Jesse Biddle gets the start tonight in the game deciding series.
Daytona 18, Clearwater 5
Miguel Nunez - 3.1 IP, 8 H, 7 R, 7 ER, 3 BB, 2 GB, 2 FB
Brian Pointer - 0 for 5, 2 K
KC Serna - 2 for 5, R, 3B
Peter Lavin - 1 for 4, R, 2B, RBI, BB, K
Harold Martinez - 2 for 5, 2B, K
Uhhh, not the start I expected out of Miguel Nunez considering how well he was pitching prior. The bullpen (Jordan Guth, Kevin Walter, Chris Burgess) would combine for 5.2 IP, 9 H, 11 R, 7 ER, 5 BB, 2 K, HR. Despite the Thresher offense getting 3 runs on the board early, they would end the game going 2 for 14 with RISP. Jeb Stefan takes the mound this afternoon for the Threshers.
Lakewood 7, Charleston 5
Tyler Viza - 6 IP, 8 H, 3 R, 3 ER, BB, 3 K, HR, 4 GB, 5 FB
JP Crawford - 2 for 4, 2 R, K, SB
Carlos Tocci - 1 for 2, 2 R, RBI, BB (outfield assist, home)
Dylan Cozens - 2 for 4, 2 R, 3B, HR, RBI, K
Willians Astudillo - 1 for 4, RBI, CS
Andrew Pullin - 2 for 4, SB
Samuel Hiciano - 0 for 4, K
Wilmer Oberto - 1 for 3, HR, BB, K
Gabriel Lino - 0 for 3, K
Tyler Viza with a decent start and actually left the game with the lead. The big names in the offense really shined in this one. JP Crawford with his 5th multi-hit game on the season and 5th stolen base. Cozens with his 2nd home run on the season and Carlos Tocci remains red hot at the plate. Lino doesn't have a passed ball and Oberto belts one over the fence. All is right with the world in this game. Julio Reyes and Cody Forsythe would make it an adventure tying the game at 5 before a RBI triple from Cozens would put them ahead for good in the bottom of the 8th. The series is tied with Alejandro Arteaga taking the mound this morning (11:05)
