Lehigh Valley 4, Norfolk 3

Chris Bootcheck - 7 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, BB, 2 K, 9 GB, 7 FB
Cesar Jimenez - 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, K
Ken Giles - 1 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 BB
Tyson Gillies - 0 for 4, 2 K (outfield assist, home)
Tyler Henson - 2 for 4, R, RBI, 2 K
Maikel Franco - 2 for 4, R, 2B, 3B, RBI, K
Jim Murphy - 1 for 3, HR, 2 RBI, K
Leandro Castro - 1 for 3, BB, SB

The tall lanky righthander Chris Bootcheck has been spectacular since making his Lehigh debut last week. He may not strike anyone out, but he isn't giving up hits either. Ken Giles with his first truly bad outing since joining the Iron Pigs. It was not a pretty sequence in the 9th. He got a groundout to start the inning, he would then walk the next two batters, load the bases on a single, allow a run to score via a wild pitch and then get the second out. The final batter he faced lined a single up the middle to Gillies, allowing the runner on 3rd to score. Norfolk would send the runner from 2nd, but Gillies would wind up throwing him out at the home on a debated (by Norfolk) play at the plate. Norfolk protested that Koyie Hill never tagged him. Never the less, Lehigh holds onto win. Murphy hits his 8th home run and Maikel Franco breaks out for two extra base hits. The triple (according to mattwinks), just barely missed for a homer. Lehigh takes the series 4-1.

Trenton 12, Reading 2

Perci Garner - 2.1 IP, 5 H, 6 R, 5 ER, 4 BB, K, 4 GB, 1 FB
Brock Stassi - 0 for 3, R, 2 HBP
Cam Perkins - 1 for 2, 2B, RBI
Aaron Altherr - 0 for 4, K
Sebastian Valle - 1 for 4, 2 K
Anthony Hewitt - 2 for 4, 2B, K

Garner had been pitching so well, you had to see a game like this coming. Too many hits and too many walks. Sometimes it just catches up to you. The offense fared no better, going 1 for 14 with RISP. On top of that, Cam Perkins was hit with a line drive while standing on third base. It was hit on his hand and he was later removed from the game. Exactly what you don't want to happen to a guy on fire like Perkins.

Fort Myers 3, Clearwater 0

Jeb Stefan - 6 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 2 K, 7 GB, 9 FB, WP
Ramon Oviedo - 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 5 BB, WP
Roman Quinn - 1 for 4 (fielding error)
KC Serna - 0 for 4
Peter Lavin - 0 for 2, BB, K
Gabriel Lino - 0 for 3, 2 K
Andrew Knapp - 1 for 3

If your name was Wheeler last night, chances were you were dominating a Phillies lineup. Fort Myers pitcher Jason Wheeler goes 8 innings, striking out 7 and only allowing 2 hits. Bright spots? Both Quinn and Knapp had the only hits. That's about it. Clearwater closes out the series hoping for a tie tonight.

Delmarva 4, Lakewood 3

Drew Anderson - 4.2 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 3 K, 5 GB, 3 FB
Carlos Tocci - 1 for 3, 2 RBI
Andrew Pullin - 0 for 4, K (fielding error)
JP Crawford - 0 for 3, BB (fielding error)
Willians Astudillo - 1 for 4, 2B
Dylan Cozens - 1 for 3, BB, K, SB
Samuel Hiciano - 0 for 4, K
Mitch Walding - 1 for 3, R, 2B, K
Deivi Grullon - 1 for 4, R, 2B, K (passed ball)
Jiandido Tromp - 1 for 2, R, BB, K

Say it ain't so, Drew! After 3 quality starts in which he had gone 18 innings of only giving up 2 earned runs, he had a bad start. This is relatively speaking as he only gave up 3 hits, but didn't make it out of the 5th inning, facing 22 batters at that point. Crawford commits his 10 error, Pullin his 12th. Cozens steals his 8th base! Grullon has his 3rd passed ball on the season. It wound up allowing the eventual winning run to get into scoring position and of course score via a sac fly.
