Today's Phillies-Nationals series finale will start at the odd time of 3:05 due to the annual Broad Street Run, a ten mile run down -- you guessed it -- Broad Street. I applaud everyone who participated, and I'd like to also say that I think you're a little bit insane. If I'm running ten miles, it's because I'm being chased, or someone is paying me a lot of money. I ran the Phillies 5K back in 2011, and that three mile course was more than enough for me. I'm not a runner is what I'm saying.

Here are the lineups for the rubber match:

Today's Lineups

WASHINGTON NATIONALS PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES
Denard Span - CF Ben Revere - CF
Kevin Frandsen - 3B Jimmy Rollins - SS
Jayson Werth - RF Chase Utley - 2B
Adam LaRoche - 1B Marlon Byrd - RF
Anthony Rendon - 2B Ryan Howard - 1B
Ian Desmond - SS Carlos Ruiz - C
Nate McLouth - LF John Mayberry - LF
Sandy Leon - C Jayson Nix - 3B
Gio Gonzalez - LHP R. Hernandez - RHP

The Phillies offense is going to have to really show up today -- Gio Gonzalez is a very good pitcher, and Roberto Hernandez's last two starts were pretty... uhhh... well, what would you call giving up ten runs and 16 hits over ten innings? Crappy? Let's go with crappy. But positivity worked yesterday, so let's continue with that. Hernandez is due to bounce back a little bit from being so crappy.

I'm sure you have more positive thoughts about the Phillies. Discuss them and the game in the comments below.
