Game 34 Open Thread: Phillies at Mets

The Phillies are no longer in Canada. Thank all that is good and holy in this world.

Drew Hallowell

The Phillies are coming off four straight losses to the Toronto Blue Jays in which they were outscored 31-11. They are in last place in the NL East at 15-18, four games behind the division leading FLORIDA FREAKING MARLINS ARE YOU KIDDING ME!

Roberto Hernandez, the last Phillies starter to win a game, Sunday against the Washington Nationals, takes the hill for the Phils. Hernandez (2-1, 5.40 ERA) went 7 1/3 shutout innings against the Nats in a game that seemed like it as four weeks ago. He'll be opposed by left-hander Jenrry Mejia, who is 3-0 on the young season, but with a high ERA of 5.23.

The good news is the Mets are also wetting the bed, having been swept by the Marlins in Miami this week and are 1-6 in May. And the two teams have played only once so far this year, last week in Philadelphia, a 6-1 Phils loss. The second game of the two-game series was postponed due to rain. The Mets have won four of their last six home games against the Phils.

It's time to get some mojo back.

Here is tonight's lineup. Phils going with the "A" lineup tonight.
