Multiple sources including philly.com's Matt Gelb confirm that the Phillies have reached a contract agreement with top draft pick Aaron Nola:
Phillies sign Aaron Nola, the No. 7 overall pick. Williamsport’s season starts Friday. We’ll see if he goes right there.

While financial terms aren't yet available, the assigned value for the #7 pick was $3,300,900. Most observers figured that Nola would sign for close to that amount. (Update: confirmed.)
The 21 year old righty's calling card is exceptional command of a low-90s fastball. He's widely expected to be the first 2014 draftee to reach the major leagues, and could start his professional career anywhere from Williamsport, the Phillies' advanced short-season affiliate, to high-A Clearwater, which is wrapping up a disastrous first half with the worst record in the minors.
If you missed it, here's a good Q&A with Nola that MLB Trade Rumors ran last week.
