Lehigh Valley 7, Louisville 2 (June 6, 2014)

Sean O'Sullivan - 7 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, BB, 3 K, 9 GB, 3 FB
Tyler Knigge - 1 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, K, HR
Leandro Castro - 1 for 5, 2 RBI, 2 K
Tyler Henson - 0 for 3, RBI, BB
Maikel Franco - 1 for 5, 2B, RBI
Cam Perkins - 0 for 2, 2 R, 2 BB
Cameron Rupp - 2 for 3, R, BB, K

Well now Sean O'Sullivan, where have you been all my life? Terrific game for the 26 year old righty. Tyler Knigge with another disappointing outing after an awful AAA debut. Maikel Franco with an extra base hit and Cam Perkins picks up 2 walks on a hitless day. Lehigh salvages the series, but loses it 3-1.

Lehigh Valley 3, Indianapolis 1 (June 7, 2014)

Brad Lincoln - 6 IP, 1 H, 0 R, BB, 7 K, 7 GB, 4 FB
Hector Neris - 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2 K
BJ Rosenberg - 1 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER
Luis Garcia - 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 1 K
Leandro Castro - 2 for 4, R, 2B, CS
Tyler Henson - 0 for 3, R, BB, 3 K
Maikel Franco - 0 for 4, K
Cam Perkins - 2 for 4, 2 RBI
Cameron Rupp - 1 for 3

Really Brad Lincoln? The 29 year old has been on fire in his last 2 starts (13 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 4 BB, 12 K). Can he realistically keep that up? His two prior starts he combined for (6.1 IP, 17 H, 11 ER, BB, 7 K). So maybe we will see a little better consistency in future starts. Hector Neris now has a 3 scoreless innings streak. Leandro Castro has raised his average to .250 on the season. Franco goes hitless, but Perkins carries the team to victory via a 2 RBI single. The game log says "Cam Perkins singles on a soft ground ball to catcher Tony Sanchez. Leandro Castro scores. Tyler Henson scores". I don't know how that is physically possible.

Indianapolis 4, Lehigh Valley 2 (June 8, 2014)

Chris Bootcheck - 5 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, K, 5 GB, 6 FB
Phillippe Aumont - 2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 3 K
Jeremy Horst - 1 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, K
Leandro Castro - 2 for 4, 2B
Tyler Henson - 0 for 3, BB, K
Maikel Franco - 0 for 4, K
Cam Perkins - 1 for 4
Koyie Hill - 2 for 4, HR, 2 RBI, K
Rusty Ryal - 1 for 3, 2 K

Bootcheck falls victim of the loss for his 2nd straight start after a bang out of the gate in his first 2. Phillippe Aumont with a solid outing. The manager made the smart move by not putting Aumont out there for a 3rd inning. Leandro Castro continues to thrive out of the leadoff spot; the 2 hit day moves his average to .255. Franco once again goes hitless. His slash line for the last 10 games is .116/.136/.233. Very disappointing. You know who isn't though? Cam Perkins. Lastly, there is a guy on the team named Rusty Ryal.

Richmond 12, Reading 2 (June 6, 2014)

Jesse Biddle - 2.1 IP, 6 H, 7 R, 7 ER, 2 BB, 2 K, 2 HR, WP
Colton Murray - 3.2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 6 K
Mike Nesseth - 1 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 3 ER, K
Austin Wright - 1.2 IP, 0 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 4 BB, K, WP
Carlos Alonso - 2 for 4, 2 R, 2B, HR, BB (throwing error)
Brock Stassi - 1 for 3, BB
Aaron Altherr - 1 for 4, RBI, 2 K
Jiwan James - 1 for 4, K

Welcome back Jiwan James! Thankfully he didn't have to pitch in the game, but Brock Stassi made his 2nd appearance as a pitcher this season. Colton Murray the lone bright spot among the pitchers. He has had an incredible season thus far. Carlos Alonso was the lone bright spot among the hitters as he launched his 6th homer on the season. What is wrong with Jesse Biddle now? Do we speculate an injury? Still not recovered from the concussion? Or just a poor outing? Let me hear your thoughts.

Richmond 5, Reading 1 (June 7, 2014)

Severino Gonzalez - 6 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 5 K, 7 GB, 3 FB (throwing error)
Seth Rosin - 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R
Kyle Simon - 1 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 2 ER, HR
Albert Cartwright - 2 for 4, HR, K, SB, HBP
Carlos Alonso - 2 for 4
Brock Stassi - 1 for 4, K
Aaron Altherr - 1 for 3, BB, K
Peter Lavin - 0 for 4

Severino pitches well enough for the win, but the offense fails overall. They were a woeful 2 for 12 with RISP, despite nearly matching Richmond with hits. Albert Cartwright with a nice game, hitting his 3rd homer.

Richmond 3, Reading 1 (June 8, 2014)

Hoby Milner - 6.1 IP, 11 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 6 K, 2 HR, 5 GB, 3 FB
Mike Nesseth - 1.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, BB, 2 K
Nefi Ogando - 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 2 BB, K
Carlos Alonso - 0 for 3, BB, 2 K
Brock Stassi - 0 for 4, K
Sebastian Valle - 0 for 4, K
Aaron Altherr - 1 for 4, 2B
Edgar Duran - 2 for 3, HR, K

Holy Milner, what a line. Despite being blasted for 11 hits, he gets the quality start. He was only hurt by the longball somehow. The offense continued its slumber, collecting only 5 hits and going 0 for 3 with RISP. Edgar Duran hits his 3rd homer of the season in what proved to be the only run scored for the Fightin's as they fall to 30-30.

Palm Beach 4, Clearwater 3 (June 6, 2014)

Ethan Stewart - 7 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 2 ER, BB, 5 K, HR, 11 GB, 0 FB
KC Serna - 4 for 5, 2 2B, RBI (fielding error)
Anthony Hewitt - 2 for 4, R, 2B, K, SB, CS
Brian Pointer - 1 for 3, R, BB, K

Will the real Ethan Stewart, please stand-up? He was a groundball machine, but doesn't get a decision in the game. Clearwater was up 3-2 going into the bottom of the 9th. Lee Ridenhour would give up 2 runs to lose the game as Clearwater falls to 12-48. Not a typo.

Palm Beach 5, Clearwater 4 (June 7, 2014)

Colin Kleven - 7 IP, 7 H, 4 R, 2 ER, BB, 8 K, 6 GB, 5 FB, 3 WP (throwing error)
Roman Quinn - 1 for 3, BB, HBP, picked off (throwing error)
KC Serna - 1 for 4, K, CS
Chris Serritella - 2 for 4, 2B, HR, 2 K
Anthony Hewitt - 0 for 4, 2 K
Gabriel Lino - 2 for 4, R, K (throwing error)
Angelo Mora - 1 for 2, R, 2B, 2 RBI, 2 BB, K

Kleven punches out 8, but didn't prove to be enough. The bullpen would give up the game in the bottom of the 9th, allowing the go-ahead run to score, giving Palm Peach the walk-off win. The power hitting Chris Serritella, finally hits his 1st homer with Clearwater. Roman Quinn with a hit and a walk, but unfortunately his 3rd error.

Clearwater 8, Daytona 7 (June 8, 2014)

Jeb Stefan - 6 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 5 K, 2 GB, 5 FB
Lee Ridenhour - 1.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, BB, 3 K
Roman Quinn - 3 for 4, HR, 2 RBI, CS
Brian Pointer - 3 for 4, 2 R, RBI
KC Serna - 2 for 4, R, 2 3B, 2 RBI
Chris Serritella - 1 for 4, HR, 2 RBI
Anthony Hewitt - 0 for 4, 2 K
Gabriel Lino - 0 for 3, 2 R, BB, 2 K

Offensive explosion for the Threshers! Jeb Stefan pitches a gem and gets the win. It almost didn't happen because Daniel Child and Kevin Walter would allow 7 runs in the 8th inning to bring Daytona within 1 run of tying the game. Lee Ridenhour redeems himself with a save. Roman Quinn knocks his first dinger of the season. The lack of speed and success on the basepaths thus far are disappointing, but shouldn't be unexpected given his probably still recovering Achilles tendon. Chris Serritalla has his 2nd homer game in a row.

Lakewood 7, Delmarva 3 (June 6, 2014)

Mark Leiter - 5 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 6 K, 5 GB, 2 FB
JP Crawford - 1 for 4, RBI, BB
Dylan Cozens - 2 for 5, R, 3B, 2 RBI, K, picked off
Willians Astudillo - 1 for 3, 2 RBI, 2 BB
Andrew Knapp - 0 for 5, 2 K
Andrew Pullin - 1 for 3, R, BB, CS
Mitch Walding - 0 for 3, BB, K (throwing error)
Carlos Tocci - 2 for 4, 3 R, 2B, RBI

JP Crawford returns to the lineup after a day off and the offense surges. Cozens remains hot, Astudillo picks up 2 walks and Tocci seems to be finding a nice spot at 9 spot in the lineup. Mark Leiter's uneven performances continue, which is a little troubling. He is striking guys out, but is giving up too many hits and baserunners (68.1 IP, 75 H, 20 BB, 68 K).

Lakewood 4, Delmarva 2 (10 innings, June 7, 2014)

Jon Prosinski - 7 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 8 K (throwing error)
Cody Forsythe - 2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 3 K
Jiandido Tromp - 1 for 3, R, RBI, BB, SB
JP Crawford - 1 for 5, 2B, K
Dylan Cozens - 1 for 4, R, RBI, BB, K
Willians Astudillo - 2 for 5, 2B, 2 RBI, K (passed ball)
Andrew Pullin - 1 for 5, 2 K, CS, picked off
Samuel Hiciano - 1 for 4
Mitch Walding - 0 for 3, BB, 2 K
Carlos Tocci - 1 for 2, 2 R, 2B, K, CS, 2 HBP

Lakewood wins the game via a 2 RBI double in the top of the 10th by Astudillo. Everyone in the lineup had a hit but Wilmer Oberto and Mitch Walding. The latter is struggling really bad. Cozens seems to have made some sort of adjustment at the plate. He is taking walks and and scoring runs. These are all great signs for the massive ballplayer.

Lakewood 5, Delmarva 4 (June 8, 2014)

Drew Anderson - 1 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 ER, K
Jesen Therrien - 4 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 2 ER, BB, 3 K
Julio Reyes - 2 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, BB, 2 K
JP Crawford - 1 for 4, R, BB, 2 K
Andrew Pullin - 2 for 5, 2 RBI
Dylan Cozens - 1 for 5, R, RBI
Willians Astudillo - 1 for 3, RBI, BB, SB
Andrew Knapp - 0 for 3, BB, K
Mitch Walding - 0 for 4
Samuel Hiciano - 2 for 4, R, K, SB
Deivi Grullon - 3 for 4, 2 R, 2B
Jiandido Tromp - 0 for 3, BB, SB (2 outfield assist, two 2B)

Drew Anderson leaves the game with an injury during warmups in the 2nd inning. Not good for a kid that has been playing great this season. The bullpen helped solidify the win. Crawford's average continues to creep down towards .300 (currently at .309). Andrew Pullin has been playing pretty decent at the plate (has 8 hits in his last 28 AB) and delivered the eventual game winning RBI single.
