Game 93 Open Thread: Nationals at Phillies

Maybe this time don't lose to the Nationals so much.

Mike McGinnis

The last time the Phillies played the Nationals, it was just over a month ago. The Phillies got swept, and it sucked.

But these Phillies are on a roll. It could end at any time, but they are on a roll. Let's see if they can get the best of the Nationals in the last series before the All-Star break.

Today's Lineups

WASHINGTON NATIONALS PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES
Denard Span - CF Grady Sizemore - CF
Anthony Rendon - 2B Jimmy Rollins - SS
Jayson Werth - RF Chase Utley - 2B
Adam LaRoche - 1B Ryan Howard - 1B
Ryan Zimmerman - 3B Marlon Byrd - RF
Bryce Harper - LF Cody Asche - 3B
Wilson Ramos - C Domonic Brown - LF
Danny Espinosa - SS Cameron Rupp - C
J. Zimmermann - RHP A.J. Burnett - RHP

You know, just four years ago the Phillies faced the Cincinnati Reds in a four-game series right before the All-Star break. They swept the Reds in fantastic fashion, winning each of the first three games in a walk-off. Maybe there's magic in the air again...
