Introducing FanDuel

Do you like fantasy baseball? Then I think you'll like this...

Mitchell Leff

I have a confession to make.

I'm in four fantasy baseball leagues this season, and I've stopped paying attention to all of them. I know, I'm a bad person. I'm that person you hate in your fantasy league. I have Mike Trout and I'm playing him with injured Shane Victorino and Ben "my average is emptier than Jonathan Papelbon's head" Revere because I literally haven't checked my fantasy baseball teams in over a month.

But SB Nation has a new exclusive partnership that has made me feel better about all of that. They've formed an exclusive partnership with the daily fantasy site FanDuel. The folks at FanDuel sent me a bit of money to play with on their site so I could get familiar with it, and I enjoyed the heck out of it. Unlike the traditional, season-long fantasy leagues, this is an easy, fun, once-a-day fantasy contest. FanDuel actually gives out up to $6 million in prizes every week.

Here's a quick tutorial video.

It's pretty easy. You have a budget, and you choose a starting pitcher, a catcher, a first baseman, a second baseman, a third baseman, a shortstop, and three outfielders while staying within that budget. You play against as many people as you want -- against thousands of people, or just one-on-one. Here are the official rules.

It's fun, easy, and there's no pressure or guilt if you skip a day, like if you'd stopped paying attention to your regular fantasy leagues. Like me. So give it a try! Click here to play. It costs $2 to join the league for tonight's game, and first prize is $2000. Questions? Let me know in the comments. Now go play and try to win some money. And have fun!
