Oh Phillies. Phillies, Phillies, Phillies, Phillies, Phillies.
It's hard to fault them too much for last night's loss. They had won five games in a row, after all. They went toe-to-toe with the Nationals until the 10th inning, when a combination of Chase Utley's glove flip and Jake Diekman's fear of throwing his fast ball did them in and lost them the game.
They have a chance to make up for it today, though. If they win this game, they get the series win and end the unofficial first half on a positive note. I know they can do it!
And you know what? I'll say it. I know Kyle Kendrick can do it. We know the kind of pitcher he can be. There is good in him! And if he can find it today, the Phillies could win. That would be swell.
Discuss the game in the comments below.
PS: DON'T BOO JAYSON WERTH.
