Lehigh Valley 2, Syracuse 1

Jason Marquis - 7 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 6 K, 11 GB, 1 FB
Ethan Martin - 0.2 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, WP
Tyler Knigge - 1.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, K
Jeremy Horst - 1 IP, 2 H, 0 R, K
Grady Sizemore - 1 for 3, HR, 2 BB
Tyler Henson - 2 for 5 (fielding error)
Leandro Castro -1 for 5, RBI
Maikel Franco - 4 for 4
Cam Perkins - 0 for 3

Jason Marquis pitches another gem. I'll put money on him being in a Phillies uniform at some point this season. But everyone , please remember that this is Jason Marquis. Anything he does in AAA means absolutely nothing. This is a pitcher that holds a career 4.56 ERA in nearly 2000 major league innings. Anyway, Ethan Martin might need to be put down soon. The only explanation of how bad he could be is that he is probably injured and isn't telling anyone. Tyler Knigge should probably replace BJ Rosenberg on the Phillies roster. In other news, Sizemore hits a homer and will be coming to a major league roster near you. Maikel Franco with his first 4 hit game of the season and first since 6/23/13. Please keep doing this Mr. Franco...

New Hampshire 7, Reading 1

Ryan O'Sullivan - 3.2 IP, 7 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 2 BB, K, HR, 7 GB, 1 FB
Mike Nesseth - 1.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 2 K
Miguel Alfredo Gonzalez - 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, BB, 2 K
Perci Garner - 1.2 IP, 2 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 4 BB, 4 K, WP
Seth Rosin - 1.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, BB
Peter Lavin - 1 for 4, R, 2B
Kelly Dugan - 1 for 4, 2 K
Brock Stassi - 1 for 4 (fielding error)
KC Serna - 2 for 3, BB, K
Zach Collier - 1 for 3, 2B

Ryan O'Sullivan gets the surprise start and isn't so surprisingly roughed up. Perci Garner looks to have been demoted the bullpen, but does nothing to keep him from walking batters. MAG makes his Reading debut and strikes out a pair. The offense goes cold and was a woeful 2 for 10 with RISP.

Clearwater 11, Dunedin 5

Colin Kleven - 5 IP, 10 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 2 BB, 3 K, 8 GB, 2 FB
Cody Forsythe - 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2 K
Ethan Stewart - 2 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 4 BB, 3 K
Roman Quinn - 1 for 4, HR, 2 RBI, 2 K
JP Crawford - 1 for 5, 2 R, 2 K (throwing error)
Everett Williams - 3 for 4, 3 R, 3B, RBI, BB
Art Charles - 1 for 4, HR, 2 RBI, 2 K
Brian Pointer - 2 for 5, HR, 2 RBI

The offense gave Kleven an easy 6-0 lead to work with before giving up any runs. Cody Forsythe hasn't let up since being promoted to Clearwater. He should see Reading by August. Ethan Stewart looks to have been demoted to the bullpen. The peripherals have been awful all year and a move to the bullpen was all but certain. Roman Quinn hits his 2nd homer this season with his only hit of the day. JP commits his 5th error since joining the Threshers. He is striking now at a 30% clip with Clearwater. Brian Pointer remains a delight, hitting his 6th homer and keeping that hot streak alive.

Hagerstown 8, Lakewood 1

Ranfi Casimiro - 7 IP, 8 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 3 BB, 3 K, 13 GB, 4 FB, WP (missed catch error)
Aaron Baker - 2 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 1 ER, 3 K, 3 GB, 1 FB
Carlos Tocci - 1 for 4, CS
Andrew Pullin - 0 for 3, K
Andrew Knapp - 1 for 3, 3B, 2 K
Dylan Cozens - 1 for 3, HR
Zach Green - 0 for 3, K
Willians Astudillo - 0 for 3
Larry Greene - 0 for 3, K
Mitch Walding - 0 for 3 (fielding error)
Malquin Canelo - 2 for 3, 2B (throwing error)

The Blue Claws had the unfortunate draw again to face super prospect, Lucas Giolito. He basically cruised through to the 7th inning before letting up a solo HR to Cozens (his 11th and 2nd in as many days). Ranfi had a decent game by his standards. Larry Greene's average drops to .193. Tocci is caught stealing for the 9th time this season and is 3 for 12 in stealing attempts. Either an opposing breeze is gusting or he isn't that great of a base stealer. For what its worth, he was 6 for 13 in attempts last season.

Williamsport 6, Jamestown 4

Matt Imhof - 3 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 3 K, 3 GB, 2 FB
Keivi Rojas - 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, K
Cord Sandberg - 2 for 4, RBI, SB
Jiandido Tromp - 2 for 5, R, 2B, RBI, BB (outfield assist, 2B)
Aaron Brown - 1 for 5, R, 2 K, 2 SB
Rhys Hoskins - 1 for 4, R, RBI, BB
Derek Campbell - 2 for 4, 2B, 3 RBI, HBP
Drew Stankiewicz - 2 for 5
Deivi Grullon - 1 for 5, R, 2B, SB
Emmanuel Marrero - 1 for 3, R, BB

Matt Imhof (2014 2nd round pick), makes his Williamsport debut and pitches well. He retired the last 5 batters he faced. Cord Sandberg steals his 4th base and Aaron Brown picks up his 2nd and 3rd. Jiandido Tromp remains a force in this lineup.

GCL Braves 6, GCL Phillies 5 (10 innings)

Luis Morales - 5 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 3 K, 7 GB, 2 FB, WP
Edubray Ramos - 1.2 IP, 3 H, 0 R, BB, 4 K
Grenny Cumana - 2 for 5 (throwing error)
Damek Tomscha - 1 for 1
Darin Ruf - 1 for 3, R, RBI, 2 BB (outfield assist, home)
Wil Nieves - 0 for 4
Jose Pujols - 1 for 4, R, BB, K (throwing error)
Gustavo Martinez - 4 for 5, R, 2B, RBI
Luis Encarnacion - 2 for 4, R, 2B, RBI, BB, K

Luis Morales with a disappointing 3rd start, but left with a lead no less. Cumana has hit in all 8 games in which he has had an at bat this season. Gustavo Martinez is another player that is likely stuck in the GCL because there is little room for him elsewhere. Darin Ruf and Nieves on rehab assignment. Encarnacion's bat is starting to heat up! The 16 year old is 4 for his last 8.
