Only the GCL and DSL Phillies played yesterday because of days off and Florida weather. Jason Zgardowski made his starting debut, after a relief appearance to begin his pro career. He was a undrafted signing out of Angelo State very recently. The offense couldn't get going despite working 5 walks in the game and leaving 8 men on base. They were also 1 for 12 with RISP. Damek Tomscha is showing signs of life. Granted, he isn't hitting like he was at the beginning of the season, but despite the .247 average he has a .383 OBP. William Cuicas, while hitting pretty well so far, committed his 15th error in just 36 games (1 at 3B and 14 at SS). In his last 10 games (34 AB), Grenny Cumana is batting .176/.237/.235.

Sorry for the lack of games! I also should apologize for the 90's sitcom references in yesterday's roundup. The docket of games today features some fun starting pitchers to follow in Nola, Leiter and Mecias. Tomorrow's roundup should be a little more fun.

Feel free to use this as an open discussion for anything Phillies and prospect related!
