Game 111 Open Thread: Phillies at Nationals

They've won at least two of four against the Nats. Can the Phillies make it three in a row?

Evan Habeeb-USA TODAY Sports

These are the days of wine and roses. It's August now, and whenever we get to this month I can't stop myself from thinking about how the baseball season is waning. It makes me enjoy every game all the more. Whether the Phillies are winning or losing, I try to wring every possible ounce of pleasure out of each game I watch. Thankfully, the Phillies have won a few games recently so it's not as hard as it could be. Or has been. Or will be.

Today's Lineups

PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES WASHINGTON NATIONALS
Ben Revere - CF Denard Span - CF
Jimmy Rollins - SS Anthony Rendon - 3B
Chase Utley - 2B Jayson Werth - RF
Ryan Howard - 1B Adam LaRoche - 1B
Marlon Byrd - RF Ian Desmond - SS
Grady Sizemore - LF Bryce Harper - LF
Carlos Ruiz - C Asdrubal Cabrera - 2B
Cody Asche - 3B Wilson Ramos - C
A.J. Burnett - RHP Jordan Zimmermann - RHP

Enjoy these games, folks. Soon we'll be staring down the barrel of a long, cold offseason, with just our memories of Chase Utley to keep us warm.
