Falls Church Prison Blues [a hyper-link'd lyrical jawn] feat. Jayson Werth

Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

hear my Porsche a hummin’

It's rolling round the ‘Belt

And I ain't seen the sunshine since my guilty plea got dealt,

I'm stuck in Falls Church prison, and I’m gettin’ pale

But that Porsche keeps a rollin' on down to Annandale.

When I was just a Phillie, my mama told me: Jayse,

Always be a good boy, only pennants you should race.

But I drove my car one Sunday to see if it would fly

When I heard that siren wailing, I hung my head to cry.

I bet there's rich folks leadin’a fancy parade from the front

They're probably drinkin' champagne and smoking big ass blunts.

Well I know I had it coming, I know I can't be free

But that Beltway keep a movin'

And that's what drives D.C...

Well if they freed me from this prison,

Sprung my sports car from the pen

I bet I'd drive it faster, maybe one hundred, ten

Far from Falls Church prison, that's where I want to stay

And I'll bet that jagoff Harper will follow me some day….
