I get it - there are many of you who are completely over the Taney Dragons, their 2014 quest for the Little League World Series title, and Mo'ne Davis. If that's you, move on.
But, if you're like me, and you still get a little verklempt when you think of what happened last summer with this awesome group of kids from Philadelphia, then you'll be excited to hear that Mo'ne Davis has a new book out. The book is a memoir about her life as a pitcher, and it's geared toward 8 to 12 year olds. You can read an excerpt here.
Better yet, tomorrow, you can make your way to the Barnes and Noble at 18th and Walnut between 2 and 4pm and have Mo'ne sign a copy herself. More information for the signing is here. I'll be there with my 9-year-old son in tow. I'm not sure who between us will be more excited.
And if you want even more Mo'ne news, you can read about her new shoe line, with a big chunk of the proceeds going to underprivileged girls all over the world.
Who knows what the future holds for Mo'ne, but where she is right now is an awesome place.... a much better place than our Phillies.
