Welcome! Welcome, my friends! Welcome back to Phillies baseball and the first spring training game thread (or game thread of any kind) of the 2015 season. The Phils kick off spring training today, and we're all going to ignore the game they played against the University of Tampa on Sunday. Because it was against a college team, and also because the Phillies lost 6-2. It's spring training, and since none of this counts we can just flip the mattress and pretend it never happened. Presto!
The Phillies start it all by playing the Yankees at Bright House Field today at 1:05pm.

Hoo boy, is that ever a lineup! Jerome Williams, AKA Not Kyle Kendrick, is taking the mound today. Chase Utley is sitting out this week to nurse a sprained ankle. Utley, how we will miss thy countenance.
How can you watch or listen to today's game? I'm so glad you asked.
- If you're local to Philadelphia or the surrounding areas, you can catch it on Comcast SportsNet.
- If you have a radio, you can listen to it on 1210 WPHT (AM radio) or 94 WIP (FM radio).
- If you're like me and you're not local, you can fire up MLB.TV (on your desktop, laptop, tablet, or phone) and watch or listen it there.
I know that it's only spring training, and the team is probably going to blow chunks this year, but I can't help but be excited. Between now and the beginning of October there will be baseball almost every day. That's seven months of my favorite sport, and I can't wait to get started. (By the way, in mid August when my game threads turn into daily cries for help, can someone link me to this paragraph? Just so I can remember how stupidly full of joy and excitement I once was? Thank you.)
Discuss the game in the comments below.
