Game 5 Open Thread: Nationals at Phillies

Your move, Cole Hamels.

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Good news, everyone! Cole Hamels' first start is out of the way! Hamels is historically crappy in his first start of the year, and last week he was in fact pretty crappy. But that's all in the past. Now he can get back down to business. The business of being an insanely good pitcher.

The Phillies are trying to make it two in a row and win consecutive games for the first time this season. Cole Hamels isn't the only one playing tonight (if only, though). A bunch of guys *not* named Cole Hamels are also playing.

Today's Lineups

WASHINGTON NATIONALS PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES
Michael Taylor - CF Ben Revere - LF
Yunel Escobar - 3B Freddy Galvis - SS
Bryce Harper - RF Chase Utley - 2B
Ryan Zimmerman - 1B Ryan Howard - 1B
Wilson Ramos - C Carlos Ruiz - C
Ian Desmond - SS Grady Sizemore - RF
Reed Johnson - LF Odubel Herrera - CF
Danny Espinosa - 2B Andres Blanco - 3B
Doug Fister - RHP Cole Hamels - LHP

Ryne Sandberg is certainly mixing it up. Four different lineups in five games. Maybe this one will work! Freddy Galvis is hitting second again after having a few good games. Chooch is back in the lineup and is hitting fifth. And Jeff Francoeur is sitting in favor of Grady Sizemore, which is the saddest phrase I think I've ever written. They'll all be facing the Nationals' fifth starter Doug Fister, which is comical in a "Cole Hamels: fourth starter" kind of way.
