Game 46 Open Thread: Phillies at Nationals

Today's Nissan Key to the Game: "Kick Nationals while down."

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

I don't believe "8-1 trouncing" was how anybody saw yesterday's game going, namely Cole Hamels, who is the enjoyer of an unparalleled golden age of run support currently. And why not? When you give him more than three runs to work with, he's basically unbeatable.

The game two win gave the Phillies the chance to win a series against their division rival and neighborhood dick wad Nationals, who keep playing bad music during the Phillies' BP and giggling about it like the kid in Sunday school who just found out that "heck" is "hell."

Some ace from the Washington staff will be facing a hot-ish Phillies lineup, while literal game changer Aaron Harang is on the bump for the Phillies. Welcome to heck, Nats.
