The Phillies will finish out their latest Flushing trip by sending Sean O'Sullivan back out to the mound. This season is what it is, but is O'Sullivan having the season of his career? He's made several passable starts against intense competition, caught a line drive barehanded, and took a baseball to the throat. He's got a 3.54 ERA through five starts, which is miraculous for a minor league spot starter pushed into service out of desperation.
Of course, that gets lost in the shuffle when facing another sparkling young Mets arm in the form of Noah Syndergaard. The Phillies got deGrominated last night (I told them not to, but they did it anyway), and now have to stare down a young man with a promising career ahead of them whom most of them have never seen.
