Game 29 Open Thread: Phillies at Braves

C'mon, Phillies! Win this game and win the series! Please! Please?

Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

The Phillies close out their NL East-tastic road trip tonight with the finale of their three-game series with the Atlanta Braves. Of course, they start their next homestand with three games against the Mets, so the parade of NL East teams continues.

Last night was pretty bad, but the Phillies still have a chance to take the series. Let's see who they're sending onto the baseball field of battle!

Today's Lineups

PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES ATLANTA BRAVES
Ben Revere - RF Nick Markakis - RF
Freddy Galvis - SS Andrelton Simmons - SS
Cody Asche - 3B Freddie Freeman - 1B
Ryan Howard - 1B Kelly Johnson - LF
Darin Ruf - LF Alberto Callaspo - 3B
Odubel Herrera - CF Christian Bethancourt - C
Cesar Hernandez - 2B Jace Peterson - 2B
Cameron Rupp - C Cameron Maybin - CF
Jerome Williams - RHP Mike Foltynewicz - RHP

Chase Utley's got another night off, which at this point is the best/only thing for him. This gives Ryne Sandberg the opportunity to shuffle his lineup, so he's moved Freddy Galvis and Odubel Herrera around a bit. Neither Jeff Francoeur or Grady Sizemore are starting, they're going with Ben Revere in right field again. Ben Revere is certainly better in right field than Domonic Brown would be, right? The Phillies are totally doing the right thing here. They're great!

And by "great", I clearly mean "they're most likely screwing everything up beyond repair because they are the Phillies." Oh, Phillies. Why do you hurt me when I love you so?
