Domonic Brown will finally get to suit up for the Phillies in 2015.
After Saturday afternoon's 4-3 loss to the Pirates, the Phillies announced that Brown will be rejoining the team, and will be in uniform for Sunday's afternoon affair in Pittsburgh.
Brown has had his fair share of struggles this season in AAA, as is well documented. But he has shown signs of life over the last few games, including a four-hit night against Durham on Wednesday. That game was preceded by a pair of multi-hit games. Brown is hitting .286 over his last ten games.
Overall, Brown has hit .260/.315/.366 for the season.
The move is completed with Darin Ruf being sent to AAA. Ruf has scuffled for playing time all year long, which has seemingly been the story of his career. For now, the Phillies are opting to continue to roll with Jeff Francoeur on the roster. We shall see how long that lasts.
Ruf has hit .235/.279/.382 this season, with 3 HR and 10 RBI.
