I'm back! After a three-week day-job related hiatus, I finally have time to watch baseball and even write about it. It's a joyful, marvelous, fabulous, beautiful day! And it's nice to see that the Phillies are still the same manic, confused, frequently awful team they were before I left. It's comforting, you know?
Hey, look! It's our old friend Marlon Byrd! Hi Marlon! I miss you! Seriously, I miss you. You played solid, competent right field, and you could hit some dingers. On the 2015 Phillies, that's a big deal.
Sean O'Sullivan, who is in the starting rotation for the 2015 (just a reminder), is starting tonight. O'Sullivan had his worst start of the season in his previous game, and the Phillies haven't won since. Actually, the Phillies haven't won since before that. In fact, if the Phillies lose tonight, it will be their eighth loss in a row. Well isn't that a fine welcome back.
I would ask if Ryne Sandberg is still an awful, terrible manager, but I think I know the answer to that question already.
