Last night's game was rained out in the bottom of the second inning. Considering it rained for the rest of the evening, that begs the question: why start playing at all?
Those are questions for men greater than me. I'm just here for the game thread.
|WASHINGTON NATIONALS||PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES|
|Denard Span - CF||Ben Revere - CF|
|Danny Espinosa - 3B||Cesar Hernandez - 2B|
|Bryce Harper - RF||Maikel Franco - 3B|
|Wilson Ramos - C||Ryan Howard - 1B|
|Clint Robinson - 1B||Jeff Francoeur - RF|
|Dan Uggla - 2B||Cody Asche - LF|
|Ian Desmond - SS||Cameron Rupp - C|
|Michael Taylor - LF||Freddy Galvis - SS|
|Stephen Strasburg - RHP||Kevin Correia - RHP|
This marks Stephen Strasburg's first start back from a stint on the DL with strain of something called thee left trapezius. I think that's made up. That doesn't sound like a real body part.
Maybe Pete Mackanin gets his first win today. Stranger things have happened.
