Let's try this again, but without the rain.

Last night's game was rained out in the bottom of the second inning. Considering it rained for the rest of the evening, that begs the question: why start playing at all?

Those are questions for men greater than me. I'm just here for the game thread.

Today's Lineups

WASHINGTON NATIONALS PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES
Denard Span - CF Ben Revere - CF
Danny Espinosa - 3B Cesar Hernandez - 2B
Bryce Harper - RF Maikel Franco - 3B
Wilson Ramos - C Ryan Howard - 1B
Clint Robinson - 1B Jeff Francoeur - RF
Dan Uggla - 2B Cody Asche - LF
Ian Desmond - SS Cameron Rupp - C
Michael Taylor - LF Freddy Galvis - SS
Stephen Strasburg - RHP Kevin Correia - RHP

This marks Stephen Strasburg's first start back from a stint on the DL with strain of something called thee left trapezius. I think that's made up. That doesn't sound like a real body part.

Maybe Pete Mackanin gets his first win today. Stranger things have happened.
