Today's Probables:
LHV: Phillippe Aumont
REA: Ben Lively
CLR: Mark Leiter
LWD: Josh Taylor
Durham 11, Lehigh Valley 4
Joely Rodriguez - 4.1 IP, 10 H, 7 R, 7 ER, 2 BB, 5 K, HR, 4 GB, 1 FB
Tyler Knigge - 1.2 IP, 4 H, 4 R, 4 ER, BB, 2 K, 2 WP
Hector Neris - 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R
Chase d'Arnaud - 1 for 3, R, 3B, BB, K
Brian Bogusevic - 0 for 3, 2 RBI, K, SF
Domonic Brown - 2 for 4, 2 R, HR, K
Jordan Danks - 2 for 4, 2 RBI, K
Gabriel Lino - 1 for 4, 2B, K
Joely Rodriguez has been bad for about...all season. He has a 32/30 K/BB ratio in 63.2 innings while allowing 85 hits and 45 earned runs. Knigge hasn't fared any better this season, or AAA in general the past two seasons. The red-headed step child Dom Brown hits his first AAA HR since all season (48 games) and first in LHV since 2012. I get that he hasn't done anything to warrant to be promoted back to the bigs, but this is a kid (by Phillies standards anyway) who deserves to be toiling away his season in the majors. This is the perfect season from him to fail or succeed for the Phillies, not on the Iron Pigs.
Clearwater 6, Bradenton 0
David Whitehead - 6 IP, 4 H, 0 R, BB, 6 K, 4 GB, 3 FB
Edubray Ramos - 2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 K
Jesen Therrien - 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R
Andrew Pullin - 1 for 4, R, 3B, K
Andrew Knapp - 2 for 3, R, RBI, BB
Dylan Cozens - 2 for 4, 2 R, HR (outfield assist, 3B)
Aaron Brown - 1 for 4, R, 3B, 2 RBI, K
Chace Numata - 2 for 3, 2B, RBI, HBP (throwing error)
Mitch Walding - 2 for 4, K
Emmanuel Marrero - 2 for 4, 2 K, CS
After an uneven May, Whitehead starts June off with a brilliant start. He is certainly a candidate for a promotion once there is movement in Reading. Edubray Ramos continues his phenomenal season with another shutout relief performance. He has only walked 3 batters all season (33.2 IP) and struck out 25 batters. Dylan Cozens blasts his first HR (his 3rd of the season) since May 2nd. Aaron Brown and Andrew Pullin are tied for the team lead in XBH with 16 a piece.
