Lehigh Valley, Pawtucket (ppd due to rain)

Portland 9, Reading 1

Mark Leiter - 6 IP, 9 H, 6 R, 6 ER, BB, 4 K, HBP, 6 GB, 5 FB
Joely Rodriguez - 2 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 2 K, WP
Ethan Stewart - 1 IP, 1 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 4 BB, 3 K
J.P. Crawford - 0 for 4, BB, 2 K
Kelly Dugan - 0 for 5, K
Brock Stassi - 0 for 3, BB
Brian Pointer - 2 for 4, R, 2 K

After three solid starts to begin his Reading campaign, Mark Leiter is crashing back to Earth in his last two. The offense did him no favors, going 2 for 9 with RISP and leaving 11 on base. Crawford shockingly had a 0fer effort combined with more strikeouts than walks. These are the end of times.

Lakeland 4, Clearwater 3 (13 innings)

Matt Imhof - 6.1 IP, 24  H, 3 R, 1 ER, 4 BB, 4 K, 9 GB, 3 FB
Yacksel Rios - 2.2 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 2 K
Ulises Joaquin - 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 3 K
Harold Guerrero - 2 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 3 K
Malquin Canelo - 3 for 6, 2B, RBI, K, SB (throwing error)
Carlos Tocci - 1 for 6, R, 2 K
Andrew Pullin - 1 for 5, HR, 2 RBI, BB, K
Rhys Hoskins - 0 for 6, 2 K (missed catch error)
Chace Numata - 2 for 4, BB, K
Aaron Brown - 1 for 5, 2 K (outfield assist, 2B)
Mitch Walding - 1 for 5, 2B, BB, 2 K (throwing error)
Chase Harris - 1 for 4, R, 2 SB, HBP

Matt Imhof's return to from injury has been interesting so far. His command has been off, but no one seems to be able to hit him as he's only given up 3 hits in his last 12.1 IP. Something to keep an eye on for the slightly softer tossing Imhof. The offense struggled going 1 for 10 with RISP and leaving 10 on base. Canelo broke out of his slump with a multi-hit effort and stealing his 1st stolen base with Clearwater. Andrew Pullin hit his 9th HR in the game.

Lakewood 5, Hickory 2 (5 innings, completed early due to rain)

Austin Davis - 5 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 2 ER, BB, 4 K, 2 WP, 3 GB, 6 FB (throwing error)
Herlis Rodriguez - 1 for 3
Drew Stankiewicz - 1 for 3, R, RBI, K
Scott Kingery - 2 for 2, HR, 2 RBI
Damek Tomscha - 0 for 1, BB
Cord Sandberg - 0 for 2
Jiandido Tromp - 1 for 2, R, 2B, K
Deivi Grullon - 1 for 2, R
Joel Fisher - 1 for 2, R, RBI, K
Emmanuel Marrero - 0 for 1, BB

Austin Davis with a successful first official start in 2015 after being a reliever to begin the season. Scott Kingery hit his first professional HR. This was Grullon's first game with back to back hits since the middle of June. Hopefully this will be something for him to build upon.

Williamsport, Tri-City (ppd due to rain)

GCL Phillies 3, GCL Yankees1 1

Ranger Suarez - 6 IP, 3 H, 0 R, BB, 3 K, 12 GB, 2 FB
Tanner Kreist - 1 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, BB, HBP
Zach Morris - 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, BB, 3 K
Jesus Alastre - 1 for 4, R, SB
Jonathan Arauz - 0 for 3, R, BB, K
Cornelius Randolph - 0 for 2, R, BB, HBP
Scott Tomassetti - 1 for 4, RBI
Lucas Williams - 1 for 2
Luis Espiritu - 0 for 2, 2 K (fielding error)
Yunior Reyes - 1 for 4, RBI, SB
Bryan Martelo - 0 for 4, CS
Arquimedes Gamboa - 0 for 3
Randolfo Duran - 0 for 2

The Ranger Suarez show is in full force down in Florida. The soft-tossing 19 year old is enjoying some very early success stateside for the first time. He has yet to give up a run in his first 17 innings, only allowing 8 hits, 2 walks and has struck out 11.
