Clearwater 9, Palm Beach 1 (July 15, 2015)

Matt Imhof - 5 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 3 K, 2 WP, 5 GB, 6 FB
Jesen Therrien - 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, K
Alexis Rivero - 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, BB, 2 K
Malquin Canelo - 1 for 5, 2 K (throwing error)
Carlos Tocci - 3 for 5, 3 R, HR, SB
Andrew Pullin - 2 for 4, R, RBI
Rhys Hoskins - 2 for 4, HR, 3 RBI
Chace Numata - 2 for 5, R
Aaron Brown - 3 for 3, 2 HR, 3 RBI, BB
Willians Astudillo - 0 for 3, HBP
Mitch Walding - 0 for 3, BB
Derek Campbell - 0 for 2, R, 2 HBP

Matt Imhof did enough to earn his 4th win and has only given up 2 ER in his last 3 starts (17.1 IP). Carlos Tocci broke out for a big game, hitting his 1st HR with Clearwater and stealing his 3rd base. He now has 3 HR and 16 SB overall on the season across two levels. Rhys Hoskins hit his 4th HR with Clearwater. Aaron Brown continued his little hot streak going big hitting HR's number 5 and 6. He is hitting .294/.373/.431 in his last 15 games (51 AB).

Kannapolis 8, Lakewood 2 (July 14, 2015)

Tyler Viza - 5 IP, 8 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 2 BB, K, 10 GB, 1 FB
Herlis Rodriguez - 2 for 4
Drew Stankiewicz - 1 for 4, R
Scott Kingery - 0 for 3, K, HBP
Kyle Martin - 1 for 4, RBI, K
Damek Tomscha - 1 for 4
Cord Sandberg - 1 for 4, 2B
Jiandido Tromp - 1 for 3, HR, BB
Deivi Grullon - 0 for 4, K
Emmanuel Marrero - 0 for 3, BB

Tyler Viza's strikeout outcome seems to come and go. It has clearly been "go" the past 2 starts, which coincides with his extremely inflating WHIP/ERA since mid-June. Herlis Rodriguez had the lone multi-hit effort in Tuesday's game in which the offense went 1 for 6 with RISP. Jiandido Tromp hit his 2nd HR of the season, but he is still hitting .172.

Lakewood 8, Kannapolis 4 (July 15, 2015)

Ranfi Casimiro - 6.2 IP, 8 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 4 K, 5 GB, 8 FB
Calvin Rayburn - 1.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2 K
Matt Hockenberry - 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, K
Herlis Rodriguez - 2 for 5, 2 R, BB, K
Drew Stankiewicz - 2 for 5, 2B
Scott Kingery - 2 for 5, 2B, K
Kyle Martin - 3 for 3, 2 R, 2B, 2 RBI, BB
Damek Tomscha - 1 for 4, K, HBP
Cord Sandberg - 2 for 4, 2 R, BB
Deivi Grullon - 1 for 5, HR, 2 RBI, K
Jose Mayorga - 2 for 5, RBI, K, CS

Ranfi Casimiro won his 5th game of the season, not walking a batter for the first time in an outing since a June 11th start. Multi-hit games abound! The BlueClaws just clobbered the Intimidators with 16 hits and drawing 4 walks. 2015 4th round pick, Kyle Martin, raised his triple slash to .378/.405/.554 in 74 at bats. He doesn't appear to be challenged in the South Atlantic League. If he keeps this up, he could be promoted as soon as Hoskins gets his pass to Reading. Deivi Grullon hit his 4th homer, but otherwise has continued to struggle all season at the plate.

Williamsport 6, Batavia 5 (July 15, 2015)

Denton Keys - 5 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 3 ER, BB, 3 K, 7 GB, 1 FB
Kenny Koplove - 2 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 K, HBP
Anthony Sequeira - 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 3 K
Zachary Coppola - 2 for 3, 2B, 2 RBI, 2 BB, 2 SB, picked off
Mark Laird - 0 for 5, 2 K
Jose Pujols - 0 for 5, K
Josh Tobias - 2 for 5, R, K
Jan Hernandez - 2 for 5, HR, 3 K
Jesus Posso - 2 for 4, BB
William Cuicas - 1 for 5, R, 3B, K
Austin Bossart - 3 for 4, R, RBI (throwing error)
Grenny Cumana - 3 for 4, 2 R, 2B, RBI

Does Williamsport ever not win? Well, they do sometimes. They improved to 18-6 after the game, slowly closing in on the Phillies win total. Going to be a close race! Denton Keys hasn't been very effective in his last 3 starts after a brilliant 2015 debut. Jan Hernandez hit his 5th HR, which leads the team by a lot. Come on Jose!

GCL Phillies 8, GCL Tigers 2 (July 14, 2015)

Bailey Falter - 4 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 5 K, WP, 4 GB, 2 FB
Jesus Alastre - 3 for 6, 2 R
Jonathan Arauz - 3 for 5, R, 2 2B, 2 RBI, K
Cornelius Randolph - 1 for 4, 2 R, RBI, BB, K
Luis Encarnacion - 1 for 5, HR, 2 RBI
Lucas Williams - 1 for 4, RBI, BB
Greg Pickett - 0 for 2, K
Bryan Martelo - 2 for 3 (fielding error)
Yunior Reyes - 0 for 5, K
Rodolfo Duran - 1 for 3, R (throwing error)
Jose Antequera - 2 for 5, R

Phillies 2015 5th Round Pick, Bailey Falter, has had an impressive first two pro appearances now. The 18 year old righty is only topping out at 89, but still has a bit of filling out to do. Luis Encarnacion hit his GCL leading 4th HR. Jonathan Arauz picked up another multi-hit game. There is starting to be a bigger buzz around the 2014 IFA signee.

GCL Astros 3, GCL Phillies 2 (July 15, 2015)

Ranger Suarez - 4.2 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 2 ER, BB, 4 K, 5 GB, 3 FB
Carlos Indriago - 2.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 3 K
Edgar Garcia - 2 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, BB, 2 K, 2 WP
Juan Luis - 0 for 4, K
Jonathan Arauz - 0 for 4
Cornelius Randolph - 1 for 4, R, 2 K
Luis Encarnacion - 0 for 3, BB, 2 K
Jesus Alastre - 1 for 2, R, RBI, BB
Bryan Martelo - 2 for 3, K
Edgar Cabral - 0 for 2 (passed ball)
Scott Tomassetti - 1 for 1, RBI (throwing error)
Arquimedes Gamboa - 1 for 2, BB, SB

Ranger Suarez's first legitimately bad outing. Previous to this game he hadn't given up an earned run in 17 innings. He still holds a 15:3 K/BB ratio in 21.2 innings. Gamboa has been heating up at the plate, going 6 for 10, including a double and a stolen base (his fourth).
