Game 95 Open Thread: Rays at Phillies

It's not Nola Day yet, but there's a game tonight anyway.

Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

It's not Nola Day yet, but I'm so excited you guys. Can you blame me for being excited about the most exciting thing to happen this year? (Depending on where you rank Maikel Franco's call-up.)

But there's still one more game left before Nola Day, so let's take a look at the lineup for the Phillies' series opener against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Today's Lineups

Grady Sizemore - RF Cesar Hernandez - 2B
Logan Forsythe - 2B Ben Revere - LF
Evan Longoria - 3B Maikel Franco - 3B
James Loney - 1B Jeff Francoeur - RF
David DeJesus - LF Darin Ruf - 1B
Tim Beckham - SS Freddy Galvis - SS
Kevin Kiermaier - CF Odubel Herrera - CF
Curt Casali - C Cameron Rupp - C
Matt Moore - LHP David Buchanan - RHP

Jeff Francoeur gets the start after yesterday's superb walk-off, and Ryan Howard gets the night off in favor of Darin Ruf. David Buchanan on the mound tonight, probably feeling a bit insecure about his spot in the rotation. He can make all that go away with a good start tonight.
