The Phillies have made their way to California for the first time this season to face the Los Angeles Dodgers. That means Jimmy Rollins, Vin Scully, and, of course, this song:
Sing it with me: CAAALLLIIIFFFORRRRRRRNIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Let's see who will be gracing tonight's lineup.
Ben Revere is back in the Phillies lineup, but he's in right field while Odubel Herrera gets the start in center. But that's boring, take a look at the Dodgers' lineup. They have three starters with names that begin with the letter Y. Yasmani Grandal, Yasiel Puig, and Yimi Garcia. Those first names are more interesting than any name on either side of my family. The Dodgers' name game is top shelf. The only name on the Phillies that even comes close is Odubel Herrera.
Thankfully, name interestingness isn't what baseball is based on. Unfortunately for the Phillies, though, baseball is based on actual skill at playing baseball. The Dodgers are a formidable team, so the Phillies are going to need all the luck they can get.
