Reading 8, New Hampshire 1

Joely Rodriguez - 7 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 ER, BB, 5 K, HR, 10 GB, 1 FB (fielding error)
Tom Windle - 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 2 K
Nick Williams - 0 for 5, 2 K
J.P. Crawford - 1 for 4, R, 2B, BB
Cam Perkins - 0 for 4, R, K, HBP
Brock Stassi - 2 for 3, 2 R, BB
Andrew Knapp - 2 for 3, 2 R, 2B, RBI, BB, K
Destin Hood - 2 for 4, 2 R, 2B, 2 RBI, 2 K (outfield assist, 2B)
Angelo Mora - 1 for 2, 2 RBI, 2 BB, K, CS
Harold Martinez - 1 for 4, RBI, 2 K
KC Serna - 1 for 4, RBI

Whatever they did with Rodriguez seems to be working. He is walking far less batters and has become less hittable. All the while he is maintaining an incredible GB/FB ratio and has been well over 2.00 in his last 9 appearances. Last night just happened to be his best performance of the season. Rodriguez might be a steal for the long forgotten Bastardo. Andrew Knapp "returned to form" and reached based 3 times last night, including his 18th double with Reading. J.P. Crawford's K/BB ratio stands at 54:42 on the season across two levels.

Clearwater 6, Dunedin 3

Ricardo Pinto - 6.2 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 6 K, HBP, 6 GB, 7 FB
Jesen Therrien - 1.1 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 3 ER, BB, 4 K
Miguel Nunez - 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 2 K, HBP
Carlos Tocci - 1 for 5, RBI, K, CS
Malquin Canelo - 0 for 3, K, HBP, CS
Andrew Pullin - 0 for 4, K
Rhys Hoskins - 2 for 4, 2 R, HR, K
Dylan Cozens - 2 for 4, 3B, RBI, K, CS
Willians Astudillo - 2 for 4, 2 R
Aaron Brown - 2 for 4, R, 2 K
Jesmuel Valentin - 0 for 4, K

Ricardo Pinto improves to 7-2 and lowers his ERA to 2.79 across two levels. He has been a half run better in Clearwater than Lakewood. He is striking out less batters and inducing GB outs, but is allowing fewer hits. This likely evens itself out somewhere down the line. Still, Ricardo Pinto is a really nice prospect going forward. The next true test will be in Reading next season. Rhys Hoskins hit another HR, his 6th with Clearwater and 15th overall this season. Cozens added his 5th triple, matching his HR totals this year.

Delmarva 6, Lakewood 2

Ranfi Casimiro - 3 IP, 9 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 2 K, HR, 4 GB, 2 FB
Manny Martinez - 3 IP, 0 H, 0 R, BB, 4 K
Jason Zgardowski - 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, BB, 3 K, HBP
Calvin Rayburn - 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, BB
Herlis Rodriguez - 1 for 4, BB
Scott Kingery - 2 for 4, R, K
Damek Tomscha - 1 for 4, R, K (fielding error)
Cord Sandberg - 0 for 3, BB, 2 K
Jiandido Tromp - 2 for 4, RBI (outfield assist, home)
Deivi Grullon - 1 for 4, RBI, K
Joel Fisher - 2 for 4, 2B, K
Emmanuel Marrero - 0 for 4, K

Ranfi Casimiro was lit up for his 7th loss after a string of 4 quality starts in a row. Meanwhile, the bullpen combined for 5 shutout innings, striking out 7 and walking 3. The offense outhit the Shorebirds 10-9, but went 2 for 14 with RISP and leaving 9 on base. Herlis Rodriguez has an 18-game hitting streak going at the plate. He is slashing .302/.344/.448 on the season with 10 HR and 14 steals. He is the only guy in the lineup ultimately deserving of a promotion to Clearwater. The last 4 batters in the game last night were batting below .200.
