Game 131 Open Thread: Padres at Phillies

Do I dare mention a certain long-handled cleaning implement?

With a win today, the Phillies can sweep the Padres both at home and in San Diego. We must be to the Padres what the Mets are to us: pure evil. A sweep today would help the Phillies gain a little confidence before facing, guess who, the Mets again next week! THAT'S RIGHT, THE METS AGAIN. THERE IS NO ESCAPING THEM.

The most important, exciting thing about today's game isn't the potential sweep. The most important, exciting thing about today's game lies in the lineup.

Today's Lineups

Yangervis Solarte - 3B Odubel Herrera - CF
Derek Norris - C Cesar Hernandez - 2B
Matt Kemp - RF Aaron Altherr - RF
Justin Upton - LF Ryan Howard - 1B
Yonder Alonso - 1B Andres Blanco - 3B
Jedd Gyorko - SS Cody Asche - LF
Cory Spangenberg - 2B Cameron Rupp - C
James Shields - RHP Freddy Galvis - SS
Travis Jankowski - CF Alec Asher - RHP

Who is that pitching for the Phillies today? Why that's Alec Asher, one of the pitchers acquired in the Cole Hamels trade. There have been so many debuts this season, and I'm loving it! BRING ON THE YOUTHS!
