Alec Asher made his organizational debut last evening. It wasn't a spectacular start, but he limited his damage, giving up a solo and 2-run homer in the 3rd and 4th. He also didn't walk a batter. The offense exploded for 10 runs on 15 hits and 8 walks. Aaron Altherr with a two-hit night and stole his 8th base with LHV. The winning runs were scored via a Bogusevic RBI single and a pickoff throwing error. Adam Loewen made it fairly interesting in the bottom of the 11th, walking the bases loaded with one out before striking out the last two batters for his 10th save.

Tyler Viza couldn't replicate his masterpiece from last week (CG, 1 ER), but still had a solid outing. Lakewood outhit Greensboro 17 to 9 in 11 innings. The BlueClaws were actually trailing going into the top of the 9th before scoring two to tie it up with two RBI singles from Grullon and Tromp. The eventually winning runs in the top of the 11th were scored via a two-run HR from Fisher, his 3rd of the season. Tromp added his 5th HR and Herlis Rodriguez blasted his 9th. Damek Tomscha had a monster 4-hit game and improved his season line to .268/.353/.382. He is org-filler, but is having a nice season overall.
