Game 112 Open Thread: Phillies at Padres

What is this broom doing here?

Today could be a fun day at the ballpark, if we're not blinded by San Diego's ugly Sunday uniforms. Why?

I have longed for the day I could use that gif in context, I love it so much. The Golden Girls is the best show.

If the Phillies win today, they'll have swept the Padres and continued their insane winning ways. It's started to creep beyond just a hot streak. This could be a legitimate thing.

Today's Lineups

Cesar Hernandez - 2B Alexi Amarista - SS
Odubel Herrera - CF Yangervis Solarte - 3B
Maikel Franco - 3B Matt Kemp - RF
Ryan Howard - 1B Justin Upton - LF
Jeff Francoeur - RF Yonder Alonso - 1B
Cody Asche - LF Jedd Gyorko - 2B
Freddy Galvis - SS Derek Norris - C
Carlos Ruiz - C Will Venable - CF
Jerome Williams - RHP Andrew Cashner - RHP

Despite Chase Utley's two hits last night, Pete Mackanin is continuing to execute his plan to rest Utley and shuffle everyone around. Cesar Hernandez and Freddy Galvis are at their normal positions as Utley sits today. Jerome Williams starts today. His last start on August 4 was pretty great, so let's see if he can continue that trend of not sucking.
