Hey, guess who's sick of seeing the NL East!? It's me! Which is pretty inconvenient considering that the Phillies are actually finished facing opponents outside of their division. Yup, that's right! They play their remaining 15 games against the Braves, the Marlins, the Nationals, the Mets, and the Marlins again.
We have got some bad baseball in front of us. There's no use denying it. It's going to be even abysmal at times. But it'll all be over soon. And hey, tonight they're facing the Braves! They actually have a chance of winning! Because the Braves are so bad! GET EXCITED, FOLKS.
OK, it's clearly time for today's Sesame Street clip.
I cannot tell you how much I love the image of Bert buried in the sand with the beach hat covering his oblong head. Thank goodness Sherlock Hemlock was there to solve the mystery of the talking pile of sand.
Lineups!
Well this is certainly a lineup, yes it is. It has everyone where you don't want them. Unfortunately, Pete Mackanin doesn't have a lot of options here. Ryan Howard's out still so Darin Ruf has to play instead of riding the bench like he should be doing. Andres Blanco is at second and not third because Cesar Hernandez is out for the rest of the season. So Cody Asche has to play third instead of in the outfield.
Tonight, we're going to see some legendarily bad baseball.
