I'm so glad that the Phillies won last night. They won't get swept by the Mets again this season, and they saved face just a little bit. And that's all I asked. I just wanted them to retain a shred of their dignity.
But now I'm over that. Let's secure that number one pick and make ignominious history.
Today's Sesame Street clip is one that probably should have been posted last week when there were seven games left.
Sesame Street was always so good at their animated segments. They were unique and memorable and catchy as hell. I love the alligator king! And look at his adorable alligator kids! My main question about this is how did these alligator children get things like pearls in oysters, rubies, perfume in silver jars (that was apparently horribly toxic), and diamond rings? (Also, how stupid is the alligator king that the thought rubies were cherries? I mean, he is an alligator, but he's evolved enough to be an alligator king. He should know the difference between precious stones and stone fruits.)
I'm torn between "Oh look, it's Alec Asher, fresh from his best start of the season!" and "Oh god it's Alec Asher, that guy who's only had one decent start since he was called up." I'll let the result of tonight's game tell me how to feel.
Discuss the game in the comments below.
