Phillies hot stove preview: FF76

New, 8 comments

On Episode 76 of The Felske Files, host John Stolnis previews the latest rumors and rumblings as the Hot Stove season officially gets underway with Phils beat writer Matt Breen of the Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News. Also, it's award season in baseball. WIP's Joe Giglio joins the show to make his picks on who should take home baseball's hardware. And Baseball Prospectus is out with their top 10 Phils prospects for 2017.

I know you've been ignoring the Phillies.

Really, since about August 1, I understand the Phils have not been taking all that much of your RAM. But now, it's Hot Stove time, and the Phillies expect to be at least a little bit busy over the next couple months. And if they decide to make some big trades, things could get very interesting.

Joining the show this week to preview what the Phils might do this off-season is beat writer Matt Breen of the Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News.

  • Will the Phils sign a free agent outfielder like Yoenis Cespedes?
  • What kind of offensive upgrades should we expect?
  • What kind of pitcher is the recently-acquired Pet Neshek?
  • Are the Phils going to move any of their interesting younger players?
  • Why Jeremy Hellickson will likely decline the qualifying offer.
  • What kind of starter will the Phils pursue?

Also, who's going to win the MVP, Cy Young and Rookie of the Year awards? WIP's Joe Giglio joins the show to offer his picks. The Phils hire a bunch of new front office-types and Baseball Prospectus is out with their 2017 Phils top-10 prospects, and the team's best players under 25.
