Jorge Alfaro is wasting no time at the plate, adding 2 doubles in this game to go with his 9 hits total in 4 games (batting .500/.526/.667 in the SSS). Roman Quinn showed off his jets, stealing his 2nd and 3rd bases of the season. Minor league veteran Anthony Vasquez returns to Reading and provides a solid start behind the potent offense.

Clearwater 4, Charlotte 3

Tyler Viza - 5.2 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 3 K, HR, WP, 13 GB, 1 FB (fielding error)

Mitch Walding - 1 for 3, HR

Gabriel Lino - 0 for 3
Herlis Rodriguez - 1 for 3, 3B

21 year old Tyler Viza makes his Florida State League debut and picks up a victory. It was an encouraging start given the high groundball out totals and no walks given. Rivero and Nunez locked down the rest of the game, with Nunez picking up his first save of the season. Kyle Martin provided 2-run HR in the 1st to give the Threshers the early lead. This is Martin's 3rd homer in 5 games. Mitch Walding provided a solo HR in the the 2nd, his 2nd of the season.

Hagerstown 4, Lakewood 3

Harold Arauz - 5 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 4 K, 6 GB, 5 FB
Jose Tavares - 3 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 4 K, HR, HBP
Zachary Coppola - 0 for 3, R, 2 BB
Jiandido Tromp - 2 for 4, 2B, HR, 2 RBI, BB, K
Josh Tobias - 1 for 5
Deivi Grullon - 1 for 4, R, 2B
Cornelius Randolph - 0 for 4, K
Samuel Hiciano - 1 for 4
Jose Pujols - 0 for 4, K
Emmanuel Marrero - 1 for 4
Grenny Cumana - 2 for 4, K

Harold Arauz makes his Phillies debut, having come over in the Ken Giles trade. He unfortunately takes the loss. Jiandido Tromp hits his 2nd dinger of the year. Deivi Grullon also extends his hitting streak to 4 games. Cornelius Randolph is struggling out of the gate batting just 2 for 23. It wouldn't shock me if these struggles continue into the summer that he is sent to Williamsport.
