Game Thread: Padres at Phillies 4/12/16

So, do we panic, kvetch, or just roll with the punches? I vote for roll with the punches.

This photo feels like the 2016 season in a nutshell already.

Hellooooooooo children, it's me, now your second favorite game threader!

And I'm just in time for the Phillies to play one of the *other* worst teams in baseball, the Padres. Let's all just give a big "hallelujah" that they managed to score runs yesterday and weren't completely embarrassed. Maikel Franco continued to get on base in an impressive fashion. There were even a few sparkling, shiny defensive plays from Freddy Galvis! And then, of course, there was an umpire mishap concerning WHAT ELSE but the infield fly rule. I'm so tired of the infield fly rule I could vomit. And speaking of vomit, I'm not even going to mention the utterly craptastic pinch hit at-bat from Darin Ruf. BASES LOADED. AUGH. WHY.

BUT LET'S NOT FOCUS ON THAT LET'S FOCUS ON TODAY OKAY? IT'S A NEW DAY AND THERE ARE AN INFINITE NUMBER OF WAYS FOR THE PHILLIES TO LOSE. I wonder what new way they'll find today! It's like a super little prize for every single game I watch!

Today's Lineups
