Charlie Morton (1-1) 5.23 ERA

PHILLIES: Morton had his sinker and breaking ball working in 6 2/3 scoreless innings Tuesday against the Padres. Morton started throwing the curveball more against lefties because they had been hitting his sinker hard.

Gio Gonzalez (0-0) 0.00 ERA

NATIONALS: Last Tuesday, Gonzalez pitched in his first game since March 27 and didn't skip a beat, throwing six shutout innings while striking out four batters. The Braves had a chance to score in the second, but the lefty battled to keep the game scoreless.
