Vince Velasquez (3-1) 1.78 ERA
PHILLIES: Velasquez has been a bright spot for the Phillies, striking out 25 in 15 scoreless innings in his first two starts. He hasn’t been as dominant since, but he allowed three runs in six innings in a Tuesday win vs. Washington and will probably go 7 scoreless today with 11 strikeouts.
Danny Salazar (2-1) 2.35 ERA
INDIANS: On Monday in Minnesota, Salazar fought his command badly. Twenty-one of his first 40 pitches were balls, and he ended with 101 pitches (53 strikes) in a Tribe loss. The righty walked four and gave up three runs in 4 2/3 innings which is much better than what he will do today when Maikel Franco homers off of him.
