Lehigh Valley 8, Toledo 7 (15 innings)

David Buchanan - 7 IP, 8 H, 1 R, 1 ER, BB, K, HR, 5 GB, 10 FB
Taylor Featherston - 3 for 6, 3B, HR, 2 RBI, HBP
Nick Williams - 0 for 7, 4 K

Darnell Sweeney - 1 for 6, K
Andrew Knapp - 2 for 2, R, 2 2B, RBI
Carlos Alonso - 2 for 6, 2 R, 2B, 3 RBI, 2 K

Folks, this was a very weird game. Let us start off with David Buchanan, who now in his last two starts has gone 15 IP, 14 H, 2 ER, BB, 2 K. LHV held a 3-1 lead going into the top of the 9th when Edward Mujica blew his 4th save of the season to tie the game at 3. Toledo and Lehigh Valley would exchange two run a piece in the 12th and 14th innings before the IronPigs would get the walk-off victory in the 15th. Andrew Knapp was the hero of the game, delivering the RBI double. The IronPigs were out-hit 20-12 in the contest. Bobby LaFromboise gave up 4 runs (2 earned, though he had the error) in extras.

Reading 5, Bowie 1

Anthony Vasquez - 7 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 5 K, 4 GB, 7 FB
Mark Leiter - 0.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, BB, K
Hoby Milner - 1.1 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 0 ER
Angelo Mora - 1 for 5, K
J.P. Crawford - 1 for 3, 2 R, HR, 2 BB
Jorge Alfaro - 3 for 5, R
Dylan Cozens - 0 for 4, K
Rhys Hoskins - 3 for 4, R, 2B, RBI, K
Jesmuel Valentin - 1 for 3, R, BB
Aaron Brown - 1 for 4, RBI
Harold Martinez - 0 for 3, BB, CS (fielding and throwing errors)

Anthony Vasquez really is the 'good soldier'. He's a 29 year old lefty who has spent the last two seasons in the organization playing filler. He's good for 6-7 innings each time out. J.P. Crawford launched his 3rd of the season. His season line sits at .265/.398/.390. Jorge Alfaro with his 9th multi-hit game of the season (he's played in 19 games total...). Reading is a juggernaut right now.

Clearwater, St. Lucie (ppd due to wet grounds)

Luke Leftwich - 5.2 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 2 ER, BB, 8 K, HBP, 6 GB, 2 FB
Edgar Garcia - 1.1 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, K, HR
Sutter McLoughlin - 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, K
Robert Tasin - 1 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 K
Emmanuel Marrero - 2 for 5, K
Carlos Duran - 2 for 4, 2B, BB, 2 K
Josh Tobias - 0 for 4, 2 K
Jose Pujols - 0 for 4, 3 K (outfield assist, home)
Wilson Garcia - 0 for 3, BB
Damek Tomscha - 2 for 4, K
Deivi Grullon - 0 for 3, BB, 2 K (passed ball)
Austin Bossart - 0 for 4, K
Jiandido Tromp - 1 for 4, 2B, 2 K

Luke Leftwich has been a strikeout machine this season with 52 strikeouts in 35.2 innings (to 13 BB). However, he did pick up his 2nd loss of the season. Leftwich received no help from the BlueClaw offense who struck out 14 times, went 0 for 11 with RISP and left 11 on base. Carlos Duran has a 3-game hitting streak, during which he has 6 hits total.
