Ben Lively was dealing last night and has rarely missed a beat since his call-up to AAA back in late-May. It should be noted that his K/9 is way down since the promotion and conversely his HR/9 is way up. Something to keep an eye on. He left the game with a no-decision tied 1-1. J.P. Crawford delivered the eventual game-winning RBI single in the top of the 9th inning. His SB was his 4th in AAA and his fielding error was his first since joining Lehigh Valley. Edward Mujica wrapped up his league-leading 17th save.

Harold Martinez - 0 for 3, K
Vince Velasquez made his first rehab start last night, throwing 51 of his 76 pitches for strikes. His fastball was clocked in at either 97 or 98 depending on who you follow on twitter. He will likely need at least one more start before rejoining the Phillies. Rhys Hoskins hit a 2-run HR in the 3rd inning, his 18th on the season. Jake Fox added a solo blast in the next at-bat, his 12th. Mark Leiter closed the game out with 4 shutout innings to earn his second career save. Jorge Alfaro worked just his 4th walk of the season in last night's game.

Derek Campbell - 3 for 3, 4 R, HR, 2 HBP
Herlis Rodriguez - 2 for 5, 2 R, RBI
John Richy wasn't perfect last night, but offense made it so he didn't have to be. Carlos Tocci lead the charge with 3 hits and raised his season line to .271/.332/.344 in 247 at-bats. Zach Green added a 2-run HR in the 6th inning, his 8th longball of the season. Derek Campbell hit his 2nd HR. Herlis Rodriguez made his return from the DL after being out of the lineup since May 1.

Adonis Medina - 6.2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 4 K, 2 HBP, 10 GB, 3 FB (fielding error)
Will Hibbs - 2.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 4 K
Jeff Singer - 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 2 K
Geury Ortiz - 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R
Jose Antequera - 2 for 5, BB, K, SB

Arquimedes Gamboa - 1 for 4, 2 K
Tyler Kent - 2 for 5, 2B
Rodolfo Duran - 1 for 5, R, K (passed ball)
Juan Luis - 1 for 5
Make that two scoreless outings for Adonis Medina to begin the season. You'd like to see less walks and more strikeouts, but the lack of solid contact is encouraging. The bullpen was outstanding in relief, but the Williamsport offense struggled with bringing home their baserunners. The Crosscutters were 1 for 10 before entering the 13th inning. Luke Maglich provided the walk-off single to score Rodolfo Duran in the bottom of the 13th. Jose Antequera stole his 2nd base and raised his early season line to .313/.333/.313.
