Game Thread: Phillies vs Brewers 6/3/16

Don't go near the water children. See the fish all dead upon the shore. Don't go near the water. 'Cause the water isn't water anymore.

SERIES PREVIEW

Phillies (26-28) vs Brewers (25-29)

Citizens Bank Park

7:05PM EDT on NBC10

Vince Velasquez (5-2) 3.63 ERA

PHILLIES: It’s been an up-and-down season for Velasquez, whose highs have been Everest-esque (16 K SO vs. SD) but also come with outings like his last against the Cubs, who hammered him for two HRs and seven runs in 4 2/3 innings.

Jimmy Nelson (5-3) 2.88 ERA

BREWERS: Nelson has pitched into the eighth inning in three of his last four starts and delivered four consecutive quality starts, continuing his run as the Brewers' best pitcher this season. Only one of his five wins have come on the road.
