Derek Campbell - 1 for 2, R, K, HBP
Elniery Garcia came 6 outs away from the Threshers 2nd no-hitter in less than a week. He improved to 8-2 and lowered his ERA to 2.23. The 21 year old lefty has been impressive in the FSL and it should be only a matter of time before he is able to prove himself further in the Eastern League. The offense scored all 4 of their runs in the 8th and 9th innings.

Franklyn Kilome pitches an excellent game, but is oddly removed after only 79 pitches. Pitch/innings limit already into effect? Jose Pujols hit his league-leading 17th HR (yeah, yeah he strikes out a ton still). Cornelius Randolph with back-to-back mult-hit games, including his 4th stolen base. Grenny Cumana got the 3-run 11th inning started with an RBI single to score Pujols. Deivi Grullon followed with a 2-run HR, his 5th of the season.

Things were looking pretty bleak for the Crosscutters last evening. They were down 7-0 heading into the bottom of the 7th. They were then able to cut the lead to 7-2...then in the 8th they cut it to 7-6. As the bottom of the 9th approached, the improbable comeback came to fruition. Luke Maglich would hit a 1-out RBI-triple to score a pinch-running Enmanuel Garcia and tie the game. Chandler Hall would line out in the next at-bat, giving Williamsport just one more at-bat to avoid extra innings. With a bit of luck, a passed ball with Luis Espiritu at the plate allowed Luke Maglich to score from 3B, completing the victory.

Nick Fanti with another good outing. In 4 starts he has gone: 17.2 IP, 13 H, 3 ER, 3 BB, 23 K. Jordan Kurokawa (2016 28th round pick) blew the save in the 9th and fell to 0-2 giving up the winning run in the bottom of the 10th as well. Moniak's triple was his first in his professional career and is batting .277/.314/.383 in the early going.
