You'd think with it being early January that there wouldn't be anything interesting to talk about on a Phillies/MLB-themed podcast like the Felske Files.
I pity how wrong you'd be.
On this week's show, fellow Good Phighter Justin Klugh, host of his own new podcast "The Dirty Inning" with the Good Phight's @Hegelbon, joined me for Episode 84 to talk about a number of issues pulsating within the minds of every Phillies fan alive. We also opened the mailbag for the first time this year and found lots of goodies inside.

FREDDY GALVIS AVOIDS ARBITRATION:
- The Phils sign their 20-homer hitting shortstop to a one-year deal.
- How good is Galvis? Is $4.35 million a fair number for an elite defensive shortstop who slugs a little?
- The Phils will have some decisions to make once J.P. Crawford is ready.
THE PHILLIES LOOKING FOR A LEFTY BAT
- Brandon Moss, Michael Saunders and Jay Bruce appear to be the leading candidates as of this recording
- Who would be the best fit? Does any of these guys move the needle?
- Jay Bruce has some gaudy power numbers, that neither Justin nor John seem to want him.
- It's clear the Phils probably still need to add someone to help the offense.
ROB MANFRED MET WITH DONALD TRUMP
- What on earth did they talk about?
- If Trump can bring back 1980s style of baseball, he'd change some minds.
- The 1980s were known for great baseball and great baseball players who did lots of coke while playing baseball.
MICKEY MONIAK AND THE TATTOO
- Odubel Herrera would be the player we would tattoo on ourselves if we HAD to... and we DON'T
- Who else might make the cut?
