It’s Friday! Five whole days of news and links. Hopefully I’ll get around to picking a proper name next week.
Pete Rose has some opinions he’d like to share with you
Rose went on 97.5 The Fanatic on Thursday and shockingly, he had a few things he wanted to say. First, he talked about Dallas Green’s managerial style, and why he thinks it would still work in today’s baseball world. I’m not sure I agree with that, but Pete’s gonna Pete. Rosey also talked about Bryce Harper’s style of play and how well it would fit in Philadelphia. Now that I have to agree with. Sign here, Bryce. We’ll love you like no other franchise could love you.
Aaron Nola seems pretty healthy, guys
Nola threw a spring training start today, and even though he lost and struggled with command, he’s feeling good. He says he’s beyond the elbow issues, and nothing in the world makes me happier than that.
Phillies are trying not to suck at stealing bases
The Phillies haven’t been very good at stealing bases over the last few years. (I still pine for you, Davey Lopes.) And obviously, they want to be better. They’re so serious about getting better that they’re using technology to help them. I’m not making this up. The Phillies are actively using technology to get better. It’s a brave new world, folks!
Todd Zolecki had an incident with a flying hot dog
I wish there was more for me to say other than that. Put another way: MLB.com’s Phillies beat writer Todd Zolecki caught a hot dog catapulted by the Phanatic. And he wrote about it on Cut4. Enjoy it, for it is very enjoyable.
Tweet(s) of the day
It’s Friday, so let’s get crazy with several tweets of the day. I’m letting loose! (I need it to be the weekend so badly right now.)
The Phillies paid tribute to Dallas Green.
Thank you, Dallas.

Dan Plesac has a crush on Jerad Eickhoff. Then again, don’t we all?
Lots to like about the young @Phillies rotation. Color me a big fan of this RHP Jared Eickhoff, think he has a chance to be VERY special. pic.twitter.com/1YwG7oHfPA

And allow me to introduce your new favorite thing: the Phillies Spanish language Twitter account.

#ElBatFlip is the the greatest hashtag I’ve ever seen, and I’m barely kidding. I’m going to use it the whole season. I’m going to find reasons to insert it into my life. Someone says “good morning” to me, I say “hashtag el bat flip!” and they say “what’s wrong with you?” Also, I could watch that bat flip for at least two hours straight, it’s so glorious.
