Opening day in Cincinnati, 1981. The Phillies were hot and the clubs were open.

It’s tough to come back after a World Series win, with everyone restarting at zero.

Despite hoisting a championship trophy months before, the Phillies took the field at Riverfront Stadium in Cincinnati, once more on a 162-game journey to prove they were the best. With the sexy Cincy social scene awaiting them post-game, all Tug McGraw and the bullpen had to do was wrap things up.

Then things got dirty, in a real slow way.
