We made it! The first Phillies game of the 2017 season is about to start. We’ve been waiting for six long months, and this glorious day is finally upon us.

Here’s a little historical info about today’s Phillies-Reds game.

I’m so excited about this season. It feels like something could actually happen with this team. Something good. I’m not saying anything will, of course. Like any good Philadelphia sports fan, I’m expecting sadness and/or disappointment. But this team, plus a few of those minor leaguers, feels like it’s on the verge of something. This may not be the year, but maybe we’ll look back in a few years and remember 2017 as when it all started, even in the smallest of ways.
