It’s the home opener, so buckle up.

MLB: Washington Nationals at Philadelphia Phillies Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Today, the Phillies play their first 2017 game in Citizens Bank Park.

Let’s hope they don’t blow it.

Okay, that was mean. It’s only been three games, and we haven’t seen the best of the 2017 Phillies yet. The weather has been cold and wet and windy and really, really dumb. They were in Ohio. There are plenty of reasons things haven’t been super great so far.

So let’s see what the home opener has in store for us. To the lineups!

Today's Lineups

WASHINGTON NATIONALS PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES
Trea Turner - SS Cesar Hernandez - 2B
Adam Eaton - CF Howie Kendrick - LF
Bryce Harper - RF Odubel Herrera - CF
Daniel Murphy - 2B Maikel Franco - 3B
Ryan Zimmerman - 1B Michael Saunders - RF
Jayson Werth - LF Tommy Joseph - 1B
Anthony Rendon - 3B Cameron Rupp - C
Matt Wieters - C Freddy Galvis - SS
Max Scherzer - RHP Vince Velasquez - RHP

So today, Vince Velasquez and the Phillies face Max Scherzer and the Nationals.

But you know what? The Phillies will be playing at Citizens Bank Park. The season is young, and there’s so much in store.

And if the prospects with the IronPigs start to do well, we’ll be seeing them soon.
