Well, now comes the encore.

It’s going to be nigh on impossible to exceed or even replicate the wonder and majesty of last night’s 17-3 romp and its unbelievable first inning, especially given the...uh...change in opposing starter quality. But those who put their faith in momentum will tell us that the Phillies have all of it right now, and have a chance to ride a wave and maybe keep on surprising. Why not?

The Phils’ lineup stays the same, apart from Andrew Knapp making his second career start. Jeremy Hellickson takes the ball on the hill for the Phils as we begin our second turn through the rotation.

Today's Lineups

WASHINGTON NATIONALS PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES
Adam Eaton - CF Cesar Hernandez - 2B
Anthony Rendon - 3B Howie Kendrick - LF
Bryce Harper - RF Odubel Herrera - CF
Daniel Murphy - 2B Maikel Franco - 3B
Adam Lind - 1B Michael Saunders - RF
Jayson Werth - LF Tommy Joseph - 1B
Stephen Drew - SS Andrew Knapp - C
Jose Lobaton - C Freddy Galvis - SS
Stephen Strasburg - RHP Jeremy Hellickson - RHP

It’s never too early in the season to enjoy a series win against the Nats, and so the Phils will look to glide into the off day Monday still riding high.
