Game Thread 5/1: Phillies at Cubs

I think it’s good that the Phillies got the crap kicked out of them by the Dodgers over the weekend. It means we won’t go into this series with the defending World Series champions with too much confidence. And therefore we won’t be gutted if they unceremoniously lose.

I know that’s not the most positive thing ever, but I think we should all be realistic, right? Being too pie-in-the-sky about these Phillies is a bad idea. For all of our mental stability.

It’s Vince time! Vinny had a great start his last time out, and it would be great it he could continue that. It’ll be quite the challenge to do that against some of the best hitters in baseball, but... that’s the game, man.
