Today’s Probables:

LHV: TBD
REA: Tyler Viza
CLR: Franklyn Kilome
LWD: JoJo Romero

Lehigh Valley 1, Rochester 0

Aaron Nola - 6.1 IP, 2 H, 0 R, BB, 7 K, 7 GB, 1 FB
Roman Quinn - 2 for 4, 2B, BB, K, CS
J.P. Crawford - 1 for 3, HR, BB, K
Jorge Alfaro - 0 for 4, 2 K
Dylan Cozens - 1 for 4, 2B, 3 K
Rhys Hoskins - 0 for 3, BB, 2 K
Nick Williams - 0 for 4, 2 K

Aaron Nola and Co. held Rochester to just two hits all game. After two successful rehab starts, Nola should be pretty close to returning to the big leagues. The offense behind him was inconsistent, collecting just 7 hits and striking out 15 times. J.P. Crawford launched his 1st HR, a 1-1 fastball down the middle that was a no-doubter over the RF fence. Amidst the flurry of callup articles, Jorge Alfaro has struggled in his last 10 games, batting just .195.

Fort Myers 7, Clearwater 3

Jose Tavares - 5 IP, 7 H, 5 R, 5 ER, BB, 4 K, 2 HR, WP, HBP
Zach Coppola - 3 for 4, R, BB, K
Cornelius Randolph - 1 for 4, RBI, 2 K
Damek Tomscha - 1 for 3, R, BB
Wilson Garcia - 1 for 4, 2B
Jose Pujols - 1 for 4, 2 K
Deivi Grullon - 2 for 4, 2B, RBI
Jan Hernandez - 0 for 4, 2 K, picked off (fielding error)
Drew Stankiewicz - 0 for 3, BB, 2 K, picked off
Emmanuel Marrero - 2 for 3, R, 2B, BB

Jose Tavares takes the loss in his worst start of the season. He had given up a combined 5 earned runs in his last 3 starts. Deivi Grullon continues to impress at the plate as his season line is up to .291/.295/.418 with 3 HR. The defensive catcher (with a cannon arm) still has some work to do at the plate given his poor 28:1 K/BB. Jose Pujols is racking up those strikeouts still and is now up to 58 in 124 at-bats.

Daniel Brito - 1 for 6, R, 2B, K
Raul Rivas - 1 for 3, R, RBI
Mickey Moniak - 0 for 6, K (outfield assist, 2B)
Darick Hall - 2 for 6, R, 2B, 2 K
Henri Lartigue - 1 for 5, RBI, 2 K
Cord Sandberg - 0 for 3, K

Brett Barbier - 1 for 4, 2 K
David Martinelli - 0 for 2, K

Jose Antequera - 0 for 2

BlueClaws split the doubleheader with Nick Fanti winning his 3rd game of the season and lowering his ERA to 1.53 in 35.1 IP. Mickey Moniak was riding a modest 6-game hitting streak before going 0fer yesterday.
